To dish the name or not?

I'm having the dilemma that many new bloggers do: do I remain anonymous or dish the full monty? For now, I'm not only choosing to remain anonymous but also not to publicize the blog to many friends or family. I need to test these new waters, plus I'm going to be writing about some things (namely infertility, the golden cow of legions of bloggers) that I don't want my boss or certain family members to really know about. I know myself and I know I wouldn't be as honest knowing that certain eyes were reading and, really, what's the point of a blog if you're holding back?

I think if I wind up liking this new forum, and maybe once I'm not going through something as personal as IF, I'll blog in a more public way. But baby steps, my friends, baby steps.
